Program Overview
Cardiovascular sonographers (CVS) help diagnose problems with the heart and vascular system (veins, arteries, etc.). They use ultrasound waves to create images and videos of how the heart functions to help physicians identify and treat problems with their patients, such as clogged arteries, blood clots, irregular heartbeats, and more.
The CVS degree program at Concorde in San Diego covers fundamental cardiovascular medicine concepts and practical techniques for taking heart sonograms, echocardiograms, vascular sonograms, and more.
